Pink Coral Rockrose

Common name:Pink Coral Rockrose
Botanical name:Cistus X skanbergii

A bushy evergreen shrub 4? high and 6? across with narrow, gray-green leaves and complimentary clear pink flowers. Flowers appear in great profusion in mid-spring and can continue well into summer. More refined in character than most other rockroses, and well-suited to smaller gardens. Greece. -Native Sons Nursery

Kleinia

Common name:Kleinia
Botanical name:Senecio mandraliscae

This succulent perennial will grow to about 1.5' tall and 2' wide. It has curved, blue/gray leaves that are about 3.5" long and very slender.

Fox Tail Agave, Velvet Agave

Common name:Fox Tail Agave, Velvet Agave
Botanical name:Agave attenuata

Makes a bold statement in the garden because of its tropical form. Even light frost can damage succulent leaves. Great for containers. In the low desert partial sun will be best. If it becomes top heavy, simply cut and stick in ground to root. Not a fast grower. Light green foliage. This will also die after flowering but pups around the mother will survive. Distinctive with its large rosette of leaves perched on a long curving trunk. Soil tolerant. Unarmed. From Mexico Central Jalisco.

Sageleaf Rockrose

Common name:Sageleaf Rockrose
Botanical name:Cistus salviifolius

This low-spreading shrub reaches a size of 2' tall by 6-8' wide. It bears white flowers that are 1" wide with yellow centers. This variety makes a good groundcover. The plant requires average to good drainage, and little or no summer watering when established. It should be grown in sun or part shade. -Monterey Bay Nursery
